Trevor Linden and CIBC celebrate grand opening of new branch in Chilliwack

CHILLIWACK, BC, Oct. 16 /CNW/ - Tomorrow, Saturday, October 17, Canadian hockey legend Trevor Linden will help CIBC celebrate the grand opening of its new Vedder Crossing Banking Centre. Open six days a week, the new state-of-the-art, 6,100 square-foot, full-service branch is located at 5955 Vedder Road in south Chilliwack.

Linden will be on-site to meet fans and sign autographs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and guests at the event can enter to win a signed and framed Linden jersey or a $1,000 GIC. There will also be a barbecue and a variety of fun activities for families including a caricaturist, wheel of fortune game and a DJ.

"We're thrilled to celebrate our new location in Chilliwack with our clients and to offer them even more of the flexibility, access and choice they've come to expect from CIBC," said Wendy Slavin, CIBC's Senior Vice-President of Retail Markets for Western Canada. "Our south Chilliwack clients can bank and get professional financial advice in this modern, state-of-the-art facility, conveniently open six days a week."

	    The hours of operation are:

	           Monday - Wednesday:     9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
	           Thursday - Friday:      9:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.
	           Saturday:               9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
	    

The new branch is barrier free with accessibility features such as a sit down teller station and three Automated Banking Machines (ABMs) installed at wheelchair accessible height with headphone jacks for audio access; grab bars for mobility assistance; and brighter lighting. The branch also offers a drive-thru ABM for added convenience.
