TripAdvisor to buy Chinese travel site for undisclosed sum

NEW YORK (AP) -- TripAdvisor, which is operated by Expedia Inc., said Friday it has signed a deal to buy the second-largest online travel Web site in China.
Terms of the deal to acquire Kuxun.cn were not disclosed.
Certain regulatory approvals are required before the deal can close.
TripAdvisor entered the Chinese market in April 2009 with the launch of DaoDao.com, a local reviews and community site for Chinese travelers.
