ePower's RIDE competes against industry leader Segway in the personal transportation sector. Segway's police model is currently used by over 450 police departments. ePower believes it can gain market share by providing a superior product at a lower price point. Bruce Wood's executive experience with John Deere gave him the vision and expertise to build an alternative energy PTV that outperforms the competition.

Independent comparisons between the Blue-RIDE(TM) and the Segway(TM) X2 Police model highlight obvious benefits. The RIDE has greater top range at 50 miles versus Segway's 24; the RIDE's top speed is 18 to 25 mph versus 12.5 and the RIDE has a greater maximum capacity at 450 lbs. versus only 260 lbs. with the Segway. The RIDE also outperforms in stability, inclement weather when most Segways need to be parked, electronic access, operator comfort, maintenance, and battery changing.

"We have designed and built a better and safer PTV than what is widely used in the marketplace today," stated CEO of ePower Bruce Wood. "This is why mass manufacturing is vital to our growth strategy in 2009 and beyond. The ability to fulfill large scale orders will generate greater margins through economies of scale. ePower is in the right place at the right time and I fully expect 2009 to be a great year for the company and our shareholders."
