Utility Customer Adopts New Services With Wireless Matrix

Long-time Satellite Customer Deploys FleetOutlook and 3G Devices to Service Fleets

HERNDON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wireless Matrix (TSX:WRX - News) announced today that a long-time utility customer has elected to implement the FleetOutlook® vehicle management solution in its service fleet.

The service expansion adds approximately 175 FleetOutlook subscribers, with an expectation of additional subscribers in the near term.

Based in the Southwest, the utility company already employs Wireless Matrix Communicator 300 and Mobile Base Station units on over 480 vehicles. The mix of GPS enabled cellular and satellite communications platforms provide ubiquitous coverage throughout its service areas. This is critical for efficient dispatch of service work, especially for emergencies such as gas leaks.

Using the FleetOutlook application, the utility can leverage location-based data for dispatch and fleet management. The solution will also capture miles driven and monitor engine idle times for fleet vehicles to help management reduce fuel consumption.
