OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. (AP) -- VASCO Data Security Inc., which makes data-security products, said Wednesday that it is opening an office in Bahrain to reinforce its presence in the Middle East.
VASCO Data Security Middle East will be a wholly owned subsidiary of the U.S.-based company. The new subsidiary will be responsible for sales and support for the Middle East.
The Oakbrook Terrace, Ill., company said it already has several customers in the Middle East and expects the local presence to provide it with further growth opportunities.
VASCO shares fell 1 cent to $7.70 in afternoon trading.
