GLOUCESTER, MA--(Marketwire - 09/30/09) - Varian Semiconductor Equipment Associates, Inc. (NASDAQ:VSEA - News) today announced that the company plans to report its fiscal 2009 fourth quarter results after the market closes on Thursday, October 29, 2009.

A conference call to review the fourth quarter results and outlook for the first quarter of fiscal 2010 is scheduled to follow at 5:30 PM Eastern time that day.
