Tinhorn's Daughter by L. Ron Hubbard Continues Weekly 4-Star 'Stories from the Golden Age' Entertainment Series

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Veteran film and television actors and actresses will perform a live theatrical reading of the classic pulp western, Tinhorn's Daughter by L. Ron Hubbard, complete with gunshots, hoof beats, and other authentic sounds on Saturday night, October 10th at the Golden Age Theater.

The cast includes Emmy nominee Lee Purcell ("Long Road Home," Secret Sins of the Father"), Martin Kove ("Karate Kid," "Cagney and Lacey"), Robert F. Lyons ("Magnum P.I.," "Roswell"), Lee Burns ("CSI:NY", "Cold Case") and Jennifer Aspen (Fox TV's "Glee," "Rodney").

The show starts at 7:30 pm and will be performed at the Golden Age Theater, located one block west of Grauman's Chinese Theater on Hollywood Blvd. (7051 Hollywood Blvd. at Sycamore). Additional period entertainment, refreshments, and desert are also provided. Parking is free.

In Hubbard's story, cowboy Sunset Maloney is in hot pursuit to foil an illegal land scheme by a shady newcomer, but falls in love with the tinhorn's daughter, Betsy and now must save the land, open Betsy's eyes about the deal, and stay alive.

Tinhorn's Daughter was originally published in the December 1937 issue of Western Romances Magazine. The story is included in an 80-novel print and audio book series, Stories from the Golden Age being published in serial form by Galaxy Press and available by major booksellers. L. Ron Hubbard wrote the adventures, mystery, science fiction, fantasy and western stories during the 1930s and '40s.

The live weekly theatrical readings have received CBS Radio's highest four-star rating. Tickets can be purchased on line at www.goldenagestories.com or at the door for $10.
