Sugar Land Commercial Broker Sees Signs of the Recession Easing As Retailers Secure Space
SUGAR LAND, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Positive signs of the economic recovery seem to have touched the Fort Bend County area as Weaver, Davis & Jacob (WDJ) Realty Group, a full-service commercial real estate company specializing in mixed-use property development, announced today it had closed more than 27,000 square feet in lease space in September and October alone.
“After months of little or no leasing activity in the market, I think we’re seeing tangible signs of recovery in the retail sector of commercial real estate,” said G. Peter Jacob, principal at WDJ Realty Group. “We’re encouraged by the number of inquiries we’re receiving from various users about leasing in Harris and Fort Bend Counties.”
Earlier this month, WDJ Realty Group announced that UT Physicians, the medical group practice of The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, leased 8,882 square feet with plans to expand to 24,000 square feet at Sienna Village in Missouri City, TX. Jacob said that six additional tenants have signed lease agreements in Sienna Village:
