NEW YORK (AP) -- Travelzoo Inc. said Thursday that it appointed Mark Webb as president of Travelzoo Local, which sends local spa, restaurant and entertainment deals to its subscribers via email.
The online travel company said that Webb, who takes on the post on Feb. 27, will lead the Travelzoo Local in Europe and North America.
Webb previously served as senior vice president of sales and marketing for the Americas at British Airways. He's also held various roles at American Express Co.
Webb will report to CEO Chris Loughlin.
Travelzoo also reported on Thursday that its fourth-quarter net income jumped 68 percent, but its revenue fell short of Wall Street's expectations.
The company's stock fell $2.66, or 8.8 percent, to $27.75 in afternoon trading. Over the past year, the shares have traded between $20.68 and $103.80.
