PALM SPRINGS, Calif., Jan. 7, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- There are many unexpected events in our lives, so as to admit the famous line that life is full of surprises and that it is not definable because we are dynamic in the process of becoming. We are responsible for what we become or what we would like to be. Some people reached lofty achievements in the academe, but ended doing nothing at home. But there are individuals who were naughty or didn't do well in school and seemed to be a failure, but in the end they become the most notable personalities in the society. Author J. Bruce Jacobs, MD relates his life story in his book, What A Ride, which will take us to his different adventures.
What A Ride is a compilation of life events and pursuits that the author had embarked upon and enjoyed throughout the years. This book recounts his youth, his personal bonding with his father and the activities they enjoyed doing together. It also links us to his high school struggles and his unsuccessful early academics that later on led his father to disown him for failing his expectation. However, he did his best to iron things out and with another good opportunity to go back to school, he started to find life's direction. He was married not just once, and then became successful in his medical profession. Along the way, he took the pleasure of associating with different people, the advancement of medical technology relating to diagnostic imaging and the incredible benefits he derived from it, and the evolution of medical practice. What A Ride also shares his passion for worldwide sailing and auto racing, paintings and history, and his many avocations and travels, especially his visits to Puerto Vallarta Marina.
This book gives us an insight into medical practice and its continuing significant transition, which should not be a subject of disappointment but something to look forward to. For more information about What A Ride, log on to http://www.Xlibris.com.
