WHO

YWCA Greater Los Angeles proudly presents the elegant YWCA Black & White Benefactrix Ball. Sponsored by title sponsor Union Bank, presenting sponsor Edison International and media sponsor Los Angeles Confidential Magazine.

WHAT

YWCA Black & White Benefactrix Ball is the annual black tie fundraiser event for the YWCA Greater Los Angeles. The event theme is "Women with a Vision: Making the Rules, Changing the Game". This year's event will raise funds for programs including child care, senior programs, a computer center, teen after school programs and more at the newly constructed Union Pacific facility located in East Los Angeles.

The event will honor women who exemplify the YWCA's core values of "eliminating racism, empowering women". This year's honorees are 2009 Silver Achievement Award recipient, Maelia Macin and 2009 Soromundi (Sisters of the World) Award recipient, Dolores Huerta.

Hosted by KJLH's Nautica de la Cruz, with a special presentation by KJLH's A'dai Lamar. Several celebrities invited to walk the black carpet to include Elise Neal, Wendy Rachel Robinson, Doug Christie, Rachel Grant, Adam Gaynor and more. Tickets and tables available at 310-422-7593.
