Prior to UltiPro, Yamaha had been using a payroll service bureau, but the company decided that it needed an HCM solution with more sophisticated human resources functionality to help HR optimize its employee management processes. In addition to wanting richer HR functionality, decision makers sought a system that offered business intelligence tools to allow HR to address reporting needs more quickly and give them strategic analytics for forecasting and trend monitoring.

“For us, UltiPro’s reporting capabilities were a major factor in our decision,” said Carol Baker, vice president of human resources for Yamaha Corporation of America. “We are very excited to have comprehensive analytical tools that not only allow us to have visibility into our human capital data in real-time, but also give us strategic business intelligence across all areas of HR and payroll.”

“UltiPro’s recruitment-through-retirement functionality helps businesses like Yamaha add a new dimension to HR’s bottom-line contribution by identifying trends in the workforce and opportunities for increased productivity,” said Greg Swick, chief sales officer for Ultimate Software. “We welcome Yamaha to the Ultimate Software family.”
