Like LarryJ asked.....What the Fphuk is an Oscar worth ya #$%$ tool? That is the title of your stupid article that I wasted my time reading and then you don't even have the Effin information to answer the title of your own article?!

That is the same reason I went to the article, to find out how much they waste making the actual award.

It's gold plated, so probably didn't cost that much in materials. According to Wikipedia, since 1950, all recipients have to agree to give the academy the option to buy it back for $1.00 before they sell it to anyone else, or they don't get to keep the award in the first place. So, it looks like they're worth $1.00 each to anyone that gets one now, regardless of the cost to make them.

I can't wait until I'm over 60 (like ALL the academy members) Then I might be able to understand how these lame, garbage so called 'movies' seem to be worthy of praise. Seriously.....or come to think of it, maybe it's because not a single original idea has come out of Hollywood in 20 years. I like going to the movies, but I can't think of one film I've seen in the last few years that is worthy of an award...

Why do they always list Hathaway before Franco, when it seemed like he was high on some of Adams dust. Or is it excessively mellow...

The average age of the voters is like 60. I never ever asked anyone 60 or older what the best movie was this year. How many 60 year olds do you see at the movies, can they even stay awake that long? They are all on drugs. The Oscars are for a turning movies that lose money into winners.
