Advanced Plug Connector by Amphenol

Amphenol Aerospace Operations (:AAO), a division of diversified electronics manufacturer Amphenol Corporation (APH), recently announced that it has introduced a new plug connector to maximize the electrical performance in harsh environments.

The Dualok Interconnect System for D38999 Series III plug connectors has a metal body and saves weight up to 40% as compared to the existing D38999 Series III connectors, which have aluminum or stainless steel body.

The connector works on anti-decoupling mechanism and easily gels with its customary receptacle. It can be used on any plug connector and backshell. Additionally, the connector provides improved shell-to-shell conductivity, which in turn lessens the hassle related to contact. The Dualok Interconnect System ensures that its paired connector moves as one uniform body, thereby reducing motion between two paired connectors.

The new connector by Amphenol is ideal for sectors like commercial, military aircraft and rotorcraft, which require high-quality electrical performance with a light-weight connector. It is also most suitable for applications which have high vibrations.

With this technological advancement, Amphenol’s product is likely to grab the market share from its competitors.

Amphenol Aerospace is a leading developer of interconnection technologies for industries like military, commercial and aerospace and provides original equipment manufacturers (:OEM) with high quality products that can even sustain in harsh environments.

Headquartered in CT, Amphenol designs, manufactures, and markets electrical, electronic and fiber optic connectors, coaxial and flat-ribbon cable, and interconnect systems

Amphenol carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). Some other stocks worth a look within the broader sector include Marvell Technology Group Ltd. (MRVL), NeoPhotonics Corporation (NPTN) and Anadigics, Inc. (ANAD), each carrying a Zacks Rank #2 (Hold).
