Aecom receives $148M contract to provide services for part of Doha Expressway program in Qatar

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Aecom Technology Corp., which offers construction management and other services to governments and corporations, on Monday said it received a $148 million contract to provide construction-supervision and design-review services for part of the Doha Expressway program is Qatar.

The agreement is for three years, the company said.

The program covers the creation of a 105-mile expressway that will help facilitate movement of sea freight into and out of the New Port Project in Doha and make it easier for trucks and delivery vehicles to move around the city.

The dual highway will link the cities of Al Khor and Mesaieed.

Project work is set to start immediately.

Aecom shares closed Friday at $30.57, and have traded between $14.50 and $33.09 in the past 52 weeks.
