S.Africa union says ends auto component strike

JOHANNESBURG, Oct 6 (Reuters) - South African trade unionNUMSA said on Sunday it had reached a deal to end a four-weekstrike in the auto components sector that has crippledproduction and added that workers will report back for work onMonday.

Union officials told a news conference that workers wouldreceive a 10-percent pay increase in the first year of theaccord and would receive eight-percent increases in the secondand third years covered by the agreement.
