Air France, a new Level 3 customer, has its call center for Latin America in Santiago, Chile. The IP VPN international data service is managed via Level 3's IP multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) network and interconnects Air France's locations throughout the region in a configuration established by a previous vendor. Level 3's capabilities will offer Air France and KLM's call center customers improved service and help reduce the airline's telecommunications costs.

"We chose Level 3 because its global network provides a strong presence around the world," said Christiane Loupy, director of Support and Operations – S&SC, Air France. "The new service will allow us to expand our call center solutions and improve responsiveness to our customers, and will differentiate us in the market while allowing us to focus on our core business."

"We are delighted to help such a prestigious airline achieve its goal of improving service for its Latin American passengers," said David Iacobucci, sales leader of Level 3 in Chile. "Our IP VPN service is stable, secure and flexible, with the reliability needed to allow Air France's customer service personnel to take a greater number of calls more efficiently at reasonable operating costs."
