AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS--(Marketwired - Jun 12, 2013) - AkzoNobel has supplied highperformance coatings systems for half of thestadiums being used at this month's FIFA Confederations Cup footballtournamentin Brazil.
Being staged from June 15 to 30, the three stadiums to feature thecompany'scoatings are the famous Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro, the EstádioNacional inBrasília (which will host the opening ceremony) and the Arena Pernambuco inRecife.
Used to protect steel structures (seats and rooftops) and walls, AkzoNobelsupplied protective and powder products for the three venues via itsInternational Paint, Interpon and Coral brands.
