Alibaba to expand beyond China, Economic Times reports

Alibaba is looking to expand beyond its home market in China by targeting overseas Chinese through its flagship e-commerce website Taobao, reports the Economic Times. Taobao is China's most popular e-shopping platform, with over 90% of the online market for consumer-to-consumer transactions in the country. It had more than 800M product listings and over 500M registered users as of last year.
