Allison+Partners announced that Alan Weatherbee has been named as senior vice president of talent search responsible for driving US and global talent acquisition to keep pace with the evolution of the business and expand its commitment to recruiting the best talent from across industries. An experienced HR practitioner, Alan will work closely with the senior team to align entrepreneurial professionals with unique, challenging, career-making opportunities within the agency. He will be based in Boston.

“Allison+Partners has an architectural blueprint for growth that also enables us to be opportunistic,” said Andy Hardie-Brown, co-founder and COO of Allison+Partners. “We are a decisive organization that can be flexible as we meet new talent who can play a strong role in the future of the agency.”

With a reputation for low turnover and a politics-free environment built around a single P&L, Allison+Partners has been named as a “best place to work” by multiple business outlets nationwide. The agency’s core values are also a deeply-rooted part of its culture; challenging employees to exceed expectations, be enthusiastic, empower others, nurture a collaborative environment and to be entrepreneurial.

Agency leadership has demonstrated its commitment to both recruitment and retention through the development of new internal career paths for talented employees that also grow the business. Substantive benefits such as the agency’s Allison University professional development program, MBA reimbursement program and paid sabbaticals are part of an ongoing initiative to create opportunities for continual growth and rejuvenation. Additionally, the culture supports a family-friendly working environment for both mothers and fathers providing flexibility when needed.

“Allison+Partners is unabashedly about talent. We’re not a factory, but rather, a carefully selected group of professionals offering a vast array of skill sets and perspectives,” said Alan Weatherbee, senior vice president, talent search at Allison+Partners. “I was motivated by leadership’s commitment to creating an amazing career experience and culture for employees that also delivers the best teams and work to our clients regardless of geography or practice area. This approach also gives me the flexibility to look at a candidate’s qualifications and transferrable skills more holistically. Anticipating the evolving needs of our clients and aligning the right talent with those needs is a significant aspect of my role.”

Previously, Alan served as vice president, Human Resources at Cone Communications. There he managed talent acquisition as well as all aspects of the HR function to support staff and enhance the culture and career experience of its people. Preceding Cone, Alan was director of recruitment for IPG agencies GolinHarris, Weber Shandwick and Rogers & Cowan in Los Angeles; where he led all strategic recruitment initiatives and focused on hiring across all brands and practice areas including consumer, convergence, corporate, entertainment, and digital. Prior to IPG, he had a management role within AppleOne, a private staffing firm in Los Angeles representing companies including New Line Cinema, Fox Entertainment Group, Walt Disney Studios, and ICM. He is a graduate of The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and a member of the Society of Human Resources Management.
