American College of Chest Physicians to Provide Late-Breaking Resources and Education on Ebola at CHEST 2014
AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwired - October 23, 2014) - As the Ebola virus continues to make headlines, more than 4,000 critical care, pulmonary, and sleep medicine clinicians are expected to gather together in Austin, Texas from October 25-30 for CHEST 2014, the annual meeting of the American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST). Ebola will be top of mind for all in attendance; and as the situation continues to evolve, CHEST continues to serve as a resource for clinicians throughout the world.

Late-breaking sessions will include personal protective equipment demonstrations in collaboration with the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) and will draw content from SCCM's Fundamental Disaster Management program, best practices from CHEST's newly released Care of the Critically Ill and Injured During Pandemics and Disasters, and first-hand experiences from clinicians who have managed the care of patients with Ebola both in the United States and Africa will also be covered.
