With a background of 20-plus years in branding and design, AJ Schlake-Betz has played a part in the development of more than 50 brands. She was a creative director with Interbrand for more than 14 years and a senior designer with the Benchmark Group, which was acquired by Schawk, Inc. in 2007. Betz has the unique distinction of having worked on P&G brands for most of her career, playing a key role in the evolution, revolution and extension of many of P&G's billion-dollar brands. She graduated from the prestigious University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) with a Bachelor of Science in Design and also studied at Pratt Institute.
Prior to assuming this role, Schlake-Betz served Schawk, Inc. where she managed the strategy, creative and account services for one of the Company's long-term progressive-thinking clients. Here, she gained exposure to Schawk's brand deployment expertise and found innovative ways to help the client connect its value to the value created by Schawk's brand development practice.
