Consumer electronics giant Apple (AAPL) is in talks to carry Time Warner Inc.'s (TWC) HBO Go application featuring 1,700 films and TV shows on Apple TV by mid-'13, Bloomberg said, quoting 2 sources close to the situation. Apple TV is a $99 set-top device that streams content purchased on iTunes and via other online services to consumers' TVs. Adding HBO to the lineup of Apple TV services, including video streamer Netflix (NFLX) and Hulu, may give Apple sales a boost. Apple shares fell 0.4% to 453.62. Netflix fell 0.3% to 164.80.
