Apple unveils new 128GB iPad

After targeting the low end of the tablet market with its iPad Mini, Apple (AAPL) is shoring up its dominance in the high end with a new top-of-the-line iPad model with double the data storage capacity of its predecessor. Apple highlighted the new iPad for business applications. The new 128GB versions of the iPad with Retina display will be available starting Feb. 5. They will cost $799 for the Wi-Fi-only model and $929 for the version with Wi-Fi and cellular data connectivity. Shares rose 1.9% to 458.27.
