Arbella Insurance Group Announces Majority of Commercial Lines Now in Production on StoneRiver's Policy STAR®

DENVER, July 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- StoneRiver, Inc., the trusted insurance technology partner with solutions across multiple business lines, today announced that Arbella Insurance Group has moved their Business Owner Program (BOP) line of business, representing 50% of their Commercial Lines book of business into production operations. With this deployment 70% of Arbella's Commercial Lines policy count (by volume) is now in production operations on Policy STAR. This accomplishment also includes integration with StoneRiver's suite of billing and claims core processing solutions. In short, the majority of Arbella's Commercial Lines business is now managed by StoneRiver's Policy STAR, billing and claims systems.

The challenge facing Arbella was maintaining multiple policy admin systems. Arbella chose to deploy the StoneRiver suite of core solutions for policy administration, billing and claims and now has Commercial Auto and BOP commercial lines of business in production. Arbella is currently planning deployments of the remaining commercial lines, including workers' compensation and commercial package, i.e., property and general liability, on StoneRiver's core systems suite.

As with any policy administration modernization effort, hurdles were anticipated and overcome through the strength of the Arbella relationship with StoneRiver. Other benefits include underwriting automation, improved speed to market, operational efficiency and cost reduction, and empowering Agents to work more effectively with Arbella.
