Audi of America announced today that the brand is returning for the third consecutive year as the official automotive partner of the Television Academy and will highlight the brand's TDI clean diesel vehicles throughout this year's Emmy Awards, amplifying the company's dedication to efficiency and high-performance. For the second year, Audi will return as the official sponsor of the Green Room at the 65th Emmy Awards, and as a part of this partnership, will collaborate with luxury fashion brand Altuzarra to create a stylish and luxurious backstage retreat for nominees, presenters and award recipients. Additionally, Audi is elevating its Emmy Awards advertising with the debut of its "Smart Performer" video starring Emmy-winning and nominated actress Claire Danes and showcasing the features of the brand's TDI vehicles.

"Smart Performer" Video
Audi will debut its "Smart Performer" video piece starring Emmy-winner and nominee Claire Danes beginning Sunday, September 15 and spots will air leading up to and during the 65th Emmy Awards. On September 15, viewers will get their first look at the video, as a :30 second teaser is released during NBC's Sunday Night Football programming with the full director's cut of the "Smart Performer" video available for fans to watch on Audi's YouTube page that evening. Throughout the week, additional teasers for the video will air on various networks with an all-new Emmys edition of the video shown during the 65th Emmys telecast on Sunday, September 22.
The video personifies the "smart performance" of the Audi brand and TDI vehicles through a unique storytelling experience anchored around the Emmy Awards. Additionally, the spots will showcase how TDI delivers "smart performance" -- a combination of performance, fuel economy and uncompromised luxury, as Danes plays a heightened version of herself. The video features a "sliding doors"-like premise about choices and consequences with Danes behind the wheel of an Audi A6 TDI as she experiences a comic, high-stakes day in the life, with two very different roads leading to two very different endings. In addition to the "Smart Performer" video, a new ad focusing on Audi's TDI clean diesel vehicles will also air throughout the Emmys telecast.

Audi Altuzarra Partnership

LIVE in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 22 (8PM, ET/ 5PM, PT).
