THE TAKEWAY: AiG Performance of Services Index ticks higher > Australian services sector shows weakness, but improving > Australian Dollar little changed.
The Australian Dollar was unchanged as the AiG Performance of Service Index showed signs of improvement, but below the 50 “growth” threshold, which posted 48.8 in June advancing from 43.5 in May. The index has continually improved since April of this year when it registered 39.7, the lowest level since May of 2009.
