Avaya today announced that AvayaLive™ Connect -- an integrated suite of unified communications for small businesses -- is now live from the public cloud for small businesses in the continental U.S. Avaya also announced a free, 30-day trial of the service for new customers.
As one of the company's first public cloud offers within the Avaya Collaborative Cloud™ framework, AvayaLive Connect enables small businesses and organizations to access easy-to-use unified communications for a low monthly fee and without any capital investment. For $19 per user per month, a business can use voice, conferencing, messaging, mobility, presence and video capabilities to transform their operations. AvayaLive Connect is ordered, downloaded and accessed over the Web.
AvayaLive Connect can support BYOD environments plus remote and mobile workers for seamless collaboration that helps drive improvements in both productivity and responsiveness. AvayaLive Connect supports PC, Apple Mac, iOS and Android devices, enabling companies to use existing PCs and smartphones to access the service. In addition, Avaya offers full-featured desktop phones as an option.
A number of organizations have already been using AvayaLive Connect as part of the beta trials, including Alliance Medical Ministry, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell (Massachusetts), State Street Financial Group, Unreasonable Adventures and YourITDep. Customers and end users say the solution proved easy to set up, easy to use and helped them collaborate more efficiently and effectively with coworkers, clients and partners.
AvayaLive Connect is part of Avaya's portfolio of flexible, easy-to-use solutions for small to midsize businesses that help improve collaboration by enabling people to work together with speed and efficiency. Avaya's SME offers can support companies from five employees to 1000, and are available in premises-based, private and public cloud-based communication and collaboration models.
"With AvayaLive Connect, Avaya introduces a cost effective, easy to install and use unified communications solution that supports multiple offices and remote employees. As the remote and mobile workforce continues to grow, solutions like AvayaLive Connect marry the ease of consumer solutions with robust voice, messaging, video, IM and presence that businesses require."
Amy Lind, Research Manager, IDC
"Our clients are successful executives and entrepreneurs who look to us to organize every aspect of their financial lives. AvayaLive Connect helps us do that by keeping us seamlessly connected with each other and our clients. We're taking advantage of a wide variety of new communications features -- from instant messaging and multiparty conferencing to presence capabilities that let us see who's in the office and available to take a call."
Nick Economos, Partner, State Street Financial Group
"The call quality Avaya delivers has been great. We also have the flexibility to use the service on the device that works best for each member of our team. The Mobile Phone Application works great, and we plan for medical providers to use the service with iPads for their day-to-day activities at remote care facilities. The administrative team for our busy community clinic relies on Avaya's desktop phone. Regardless of the device, we've found AvayaLive Connect to be powerful and easy to use."
Sean Harrison, Executive Director, Alliance Medical Ministry
"In today's 24/7 economy, a company's technology infrastructure is the engine that keeps things moving. That means our staff must be readily accessible to clients who rely on us for support. With AvayaLive Connect, we have the communication tools we need to be more responsive -- especially when away from the office. Avaya's mobile phone application keeps team members linked to the company network so we can communicate more effectively and deliver customer service that stands out from the pack."
