Baker to Provide Construction Management Services for PennDOT District 6-0

Michael Baker Jr., Inc., an engineering unit of Michael Baker Corporation (NYSE MKT:BKR), has been awarded an open-end construction management (CM) contract by Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 6-0, which encompasses the five-county Philadelphia area. The agreement is for five years and has a total value over the term of $2.0 million.

Specifically, Baker will provide a broad range of CM services on various construction projects in the District, including: implementing a Project Control System to evaluate and assist PennDOT in the resolution of all project-related issues; analyzing and evaluating project schedules; coordinating regular progress meetings on each project; providing advice, making recommendations and preparing draft correspondence for PennDOT signature on specific contractual items; and, providing claim avoidance evaluations.
