NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Insurance holding company Baldwin & Lyons, Inc. has selected Accenture (ACN) to enhance its core insurance system with a software platform that can help consolidate processes for increased efficiencies and faster response to market changes. Baldwin & Lyons will use Accenture Duck Creek Policy and Accenture Duck Creek Billing software for quoting, underwriting, billing and policy lifecycle support. Based in Carmel, Indiana, Baldwin & Lyons, Inc. specializes in marketing and underwriting insurance for the transportation industry.
Accenture Duck Creek Policy and Accenture Duck Creek Billing include out-of-the-box functionality that will help Baldwin & Lyons further streamline operations, enable more advanced cost management processes and continuously improve the company’s services for agents and customers. Duck Creek Policy will help Baldwin & Lyons launch products even more quickly, as the software includes codeless configuration capabilities that allow agents to define new products built on fully structured, industry-based templates. With centralized management for both agency and direct billing activities, Duck Creek Billing will allow Baldwin & Lyons to offer customers more payment options and help improve collection rates and response time to billing inquiries.
“Our agents are looking toward technology to enable them to sell and manage policies more easily and provide excellent customer service,” said Randy Birchfield, Executive Vice President at Baldwin & Lyons. “We are excited to partner with Accenture Duck Creek to expand upon our already outstanding products and deliver them more quickly than ever before.”
“As Baldwin & Lyons continues to successfully grow their company, the right technology became an increasingly important part of their long-term plan,” said Michael A. Jackowski, global managing director, Accenture Duck Creek. “Duck Creek Billing and Policy software will help simplify business processes with centralized management and better visibility for all users, while also being flexible enough to meet the evolving needs of the market.”
