MINNETONKA, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Datacard Group, the world leader in secure ID and card personalization solutions, and Bannerbridge Plc., one of the leading UK suppliers of technology products and a Datacard Group Enterprise Solutions Provider, today announced that they have partnered to supply Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) new ID card printers for the printing of thousands of accreditation badges at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.
Holding more international cricket matches than any other venue in the U.K., Lord’s Cricket Ground hosts roughly 60 days of cricket and hundreds of events each year. At the venue, there are thousands of staff, contractors, media, marketing and stewards who need to wear accreditation badges when they are on the grounds. Given the increasing demands and number of people in and out of the facilities, MCC wanted to update their existing card printers to ensure higher productivity and quality of their cards.
“We had previously been using another brand of ID card printers, located in various departments around the grounds,” said Robin Stimpson from Marylebone Cricket Club. “However, following a review of our accreditation process, we determined that our old card printers were reaching the end of their useful life, so it was definitely time to upgrade. We wanted a reliable solution that would give us newer printing technology, as well as increased efficiency in printing – since we print over 7,000 cards each year.”
After much research and consulting with Bannerbridge, Marylebone Cricket Club ultimately chose to implement seven of the Datacard® SD260™ card printers. Bannerbridge also helped with setup of each system and support on the installation and products. Since implementing the new printers, the card printing and personalization process is much faster and more reliable than their previous systems.
“Bannerbridge has worked with Marylebone Cricket Club for many years and being able to provide them with a reliable Datacard solution gives them the confidence in their card program for years to come,” added Stimpson. “We are very pleased to continue to work with Datacard Group on projects such as these, as our partnership enables us to leverage expertise and innovations to the various markets we serve.”
