The second largest fast food hamburger chain in the world, Burger King Worldwide Inc. (BKW) is now offering a new BBQ Rib Sandwich for only a dollar. This limited time offer comes on the heels of overwhelming demand for BBQ fire-grilled flavors.
This fire grilled sandwich is made up of warm toasted sesame bun, stuffed with a juicy boneless fire-grilled rib patty, onions, crisp pickles, sweet and spicy BBQ Sauce.
Burger King is transitioning its business model through new product introductions, restaurant upgrades, proper marketing mix and improved operations. Last week, the company added the BIG KING sandwich to its menu. This sandwich is made up of three-layer warm, toasted, sesame seed bun stuffed with pure beef fire-grilled patties, lettuce, crisp onions and signature King Sauce. In Oct 2012, the company introduced a low fat, lower-calorie French fry.
Burger King remains committed to international expansion in high-growth potential markets. Of late, it has initiated ventures in key markets like Russia, China, Mexico, France, Central America, South Africa, the Nordic countries, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea and Vietnam. The company also plans to ramp up expansion activities in the Asia-Pacific region in the rest of 2013 on the back of development agreements in the existing markets and entry into new countries.
Exposure to faster-growing international markets is the key to Burger King’s expansion plans. We believe the company safeguards its position and growth prospects amid a sluggish macro-environment through its focus on franchising.
The company presently has a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy). Other stocks worth considering in the space are Buffalo Wild Wings Inc. (BWLD), Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc. (CBRL) and Bob Evans Farms Inc.
