NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire -05/31/12)- Bexil Corporation (BXLC) today reported its financial results for the year ended December 31, 2011.

Bexil recorded a net loss attributable to Bexil shareholders of $1,212,253 or $1.19 per share for the year ended December 31, 2011 compared to a net loss attributable to Bexil shareholders of $1,454,146 or $1.43 per share for the year ended December 31, 2010.

The Company's book value per share attributable to Bexil shareholders at December 31, 2011 (1,018,592 shares issued and outstanding) was $34.88. At December 31, 2011, Bexil had positive working capital of $30,934,577, total assets of $36,848,957, no long term debt, and shareholders' equity attributable to Bexil shareholders of $35,532,178.
