Big Fish Games Lands Wibe Wagemans as Vice President, General Manager, Mobile

Former Rovio SVP of Global Brand Advertising to Lead Big Fish Games Mobile, with more than 150 Exclusive Development Partnerships

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Big Fish Games, Inc., the category leader in premium casual games with over 1.5 billion downloads, today announced that mobile veteran Wibe Wagemans has joined Big Fish to manage the mobile business. The company has exclusive mobile publishing agreements with more than 150 development partners for over 500 games, and has already launched 237 iOS games (101 for iPhone and 136 for iPad), 90% of them released within the past 12 months. To date, 84% of Big Fish branded mobile games have achieved a top 25 ranking in the All Games category in Apple’s App Store with average user ratings of 4 to 5 stars.

As the former senior vice president of global brand advertising for Rovio and its Angry Birds franchise, and Microsoft’s former global head of marketing of Bing for mobile, Wibe brings a wealth of expertise to Big Fish in both mobile and marketing. During his 17-year career, he has held a wide array of executive-level mobile marketing positions at some of the world’s most innovative mobile technology providers in Europe and the Americas. In 2010, he turned Bing into the biggest mobile advertiser in the world and he helped steer Nokia to a #6 ranking on Interbrand’s Best Global Brands list in 2006.
