MERRIMACK, N.H. (AP) -- The cold and a thick fog haven't stopped shoppers from hitting the Black Friday sales in New Hampshire.
Malls and outlet stores have seen a lot of occupied parking spots. Some stores opened Thanksgiving night, ahead of the usual midnight start.
Hundreds of people have converged on the Merrimack Premium Outlets, where there are 100 stores. Some opened at 9 p.m. Thursday.
One couple had set up camp at a Best Buy store in Newington on Wednesday night so they could be set to go in at midnight for electronics.
The Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire in Bedford opened its doors Friday morning to offer free small animals and special pricing on cats and dogs. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., all animals are being offered at half price.
