Barcelona, 24 February 2014 - AND brings its mapping and location services to Ubuntu with an easy to use mobile application providing detailed local information and high granular map data. For the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona AND developed a map viewer with the proprietary AND navigation maps of Europe to start to showing the capabilities of AND for Ubuntu on phones.
Ubuntu is backed by Canonical, which is the commercial organisation behind Ubuntu. It provides hardware services to the world`s biggest PC, server and cloud organisations. Ubuntu now ships preinstalled on 10% of the world`s new PCs. With staff and offices all over the world, Canonical has the resources to deliver Ubuntu on phones, which will be shown at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
