Calif. gas prices hit all-time high

Calif. gasoline prices hit new all-time high for second straight day; jumps 4 cents overnight

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Gasoline price in California continue to rise, even after exceeding a four-year high on Saturday.

AAA reports in its latest update on Sunday that the price for a gallon of regular unleaded is $4.655, more than four cents higher than the record set a day earlier.

AAA says the Saturday record of $4.6140 was just a fraction of a penny higher than the previous high of $4.6096 on June 19, 2008.

The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded on Sunday is much lower than California's, at $3.814.
