Caterpillar battles Chinese construction equipment makers, WSJ reports

As the major Chinese construction equipment makers make a play worldwide, Caterpillar (CAT) looks to fight back, reports the Wall Street Journal. Chinese firms such as Sany Heavy Industry and Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology have become more active internationally, building production facilities and distribution networks. But Caterpillar is fighting back. "We're bringing our game to China," CEO Ed Rapp says. "The best way to beat Chinese outside of China is to compete and win with them inside of China."
