CBOT oats hits all-time high on Canadian rail delays

CHICAGO, Feb 25 (Reuters) - Chicago Board of Trade oat futures hit a record high of $4.99 a bushel on Tuesday as nearby spot supplies remain tight due to a backlog of Canadian oat shipments to the United States.

Record crops of wheat and canola, along with frigid weather, overwhelmed Canadian National Railway Co and Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd this winter, resulting in overdue orders for tens of thousands of grain cars.
