CCNI: Hurricane Sandy provides an opportunity for Command Center.

By Ian Gilson, CFA

The company's Disaster Recovery Services division is currently providing 700 workers daily helping clean up after Hurricane Sandy. About 15 contractors, mainly in New Jersey and New York State, have asked for labor to work on the clean-up. Command Center has processed over 3,000 applications from workers who want to help. Command Center has set up temporary recruitment sites to process the applicants. We have assumed that the major effort will occur in November and December of 2012 with some work spilling over into January, 2013.

Command Center, Inc. (OTC BB:CCNI) has reported its revenue for October, 2012. This was significantly higher than we had forecast at $9.3 million versus our estimate of $8.3 million. This is the beginning of the seasonal slowdown so the 17.2% increase in revenue per store was not expected. The store count was 58, one less than we had anticipated.
