On the heels of the most successful Institutional Investor Conference to date, LISA's Spring Conference features a prestigious lineup of keynote speakers, each with an expert perspective of the forces shaping the future of the life settlement market.
One of the many highlights of LISA's Spring Conference will be a special Keynote Address by United States Senator Bob Casey of Pennsylvania. Senator Casey has been the leading advocate for federal legislation that clarifies tax treatment in the sale of a life insurance policy and has been among the strongest advocates for ensuring continued access to the Social Security Death Master File for legitimate users. The speakers will address the importance of the advisor/consumer relationship and how the life settlement industry might better serve their constituents in generating more consumer familiarity and awareness of life settlements.
Kathleen Birrane of DLA Piper will convene a panel of lenders to explore life-insurance backed lending. Other presentations will address an expanding life settlement market, the challenges and opportunities in using the death master file, along with capital market, litigation, legislative, and regulatory updates.
