PHILADELPHIA, PA--(Marketwired - Nov 21, 2013) - Decorating the Christmas tree is one of the most exciting projects of the season. From selecting the right topper, to placing the ornaments just so, arranging the tree speaks volumes about how one celebrates the holidays. In recognition of this tradition's importance, 10 Arts Bistro & Lounge will once again host Festival of Trees, a visually stunning event in which nearly a dozen elegantly designed trees adorn both the restaurant and the historic lobby of The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia. And as those symbolic decorations rustle with promises of the joys yet to come, guests will sense that at this luxury hotel, the holidays are not just celebrated; they are pure magic.

Festival of Trees, which will debut on December 3, features leading florists, designers, artists and event companies from around Philadelphia to showcase their interpretations of classic elegance using holiday trees as their medium. The resulting 10 artificial trees, which are each approximately 8-feet-tall, will be placed around 10 Arts and the hotel lobby. Participating designers include The AIA Philadelphia, Beautiful Blooms, Swarovski, Three Potato Four and The Franklin Institute.

The setting matches the decorated trees both in grandeur and magic. The lobby's oculus stretches upward for 142 feet, while stately columns and Georgian marble recall both the early days of the United States and the origins of democracy which inspired a nation's birth. To then place highly conceptualized holiday trees in a loose ring around the space, which includes the modern and chic 10 Arts Bistro & Lounge, is to create a holiday experience that merges past and present, timelessness and timeliness in a visually stunning way.

Guests of the Center City Philadelphia hotel and locals alike will find themselves transported to a world of creativity informed by both the season and the space. Colors, textures, ornaments and even themes will vary by tree and speak to an audience as diverse as the trees themselves. And, thanks to the luxury hotel's enviable location in the heart of Center City Philadelphia, visitors can easily drop in while holiday shopping or sightseeing to enjoy a dose of holiday cheer or a refreshing meal or drink at 10 Arts Bistro & Lounge.

10 Arts will host a complimentary cocktail reception on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 to officially debut the Festival of Trees, which will remain on display to the public through Sunday, December 29. And as onlookers savor the creative expression of each tree, the event itself will promote the true meaning of the season by raising money for Philabundance. 10 Arts is donating a portion of sales from its signature hot chocolate menu for the month of December to Philabundance, a local nonprofit food bank. Tree design has never been more magnificent or meaningful than at 10 Arts' new favorite holiday tradition.
