Charts of the day: Gap, Nordstrom, HP Enterprise

Yahoo Finance is tracking Gap, Nordstrom and HP Enterprise ahead of earnings after the bell Thursday.

Gap (GPS) – Investors are waiting to see if the retailer reports a positive earnings surprise in the fourth quarter. Earlier this month, Gap reported better-than-expected same-store sales and raised its guidance. For the fourth quarter, Gap reported that its net sales increased 1% versus the consensus estimate of a decline of 1%.

Nordstrom (JWN) – The retailer has been under fire from President Trump for dropping his daughter Ivanka’s clothing line. Nordstrom has said the decision was due to the brand’s falling sales. Analysts are expecting earnings per share of $1.15 on revenue of $4.34 billion. Nordstrom’s stock has been under pressure over the past three months, and shares are down nearly 24% since November.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) – It’s scheduled to report fiscal first-quarter results after the bell. Analysts are expecting earnings per share of 44 cents on revenue of $12.07 billion. Wall Street will be keeping a close eye on HPE’s server revenue guidance for 2017 as well as any comments about how it’s fending off cloud competition from Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure while it focuses on hardware for data centers.
