China rare-earth exports rose 28% in April from prior month, WSJ says

China exported 2,196 metric tons of rare earth in April, a 28% rise from March, reported The Wall Street Journal, citing data from the China Customs Statistics Information Center. The country exported 6,112 tons of rare earth in the first four months of this year, double the volume a year earlier, according to CCS, the report added.
