Chipotle is offering coffee in some restaurants.
The Mexican chain is testing a pilot program in the Washington D.C. area with La Colombe Coffee, The Huffington Post reports.
The atypical beverage option at the Mexican restaurants was offered to accompany burritos with eggs, according to HuffPo writes.
Chris Arnold, a spokesman for Chipotle, said the fast-casual chain has no intentions of expanding the items to other locations.
Joe Satran at HuffPo is skeptical:
"La Colombe is known as one of the most sophisticated coffee roasters around, and is served in some of the best restaurants in the country, so if Chipotle were to offer it in more locations, they could pretty easily make a case for it being distinct from the coffee served by most of its rivals," Satran writes.
