DENVER (AP) -- Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. says that starting this month, all of the sour cream it serves will be made with dairy products from cows that have daily access to outdoor pastures, haven't been given hormones, and have a vegetarian diet.

In addition, it says 65 percent of the cheese it serves is made with dairy from pasture-raised cows.

The Denver-based burrito chain is trying to build a reputation for using high-quality ingredients, even as food costs rise.

Chipotle has said it expects food cost inflation to continue this year, and it has said its food costs as a percentage of revenue will rise. For the first quarter this year, Chipotle's food costs equaled 32.2 percent of its revenues, up from 32 percent a year ago.
