Leading mortgage lender’s vice president of Sales and Marketing recognized for driving corporate marketing growth

Churchill Mortgage’s vice president of sales and marketing, Doug Walker, was recognized as a finalist for the Nashville Business Journal’s 2013 CMO Awards. Churchill is a leader in the mortgage industry providing conventional, FHA, VA and USDA residential mortgages across 30 states.

In its inaugural year, Nashville Business Journal’s “CMO Awards” honors Middle Tennessee marketing executives for outstanding performance in developing and leading marketing strategies. Walker was nominated in the medium private company category – one of six categories determined by company size and business sector. The winners were announced on Aug. 16 at an awards luncheon at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel in Nashville, Tenn. and were highlighted in a special edition of Nashville Business Journal.

With more than 20 years of experience, Walker has expertise in financial management, business development, operational management, strategic planning, banking, process development, mergers and acquisitions and risk management. In his role, Walker oversees Churchill’s four main marketing divisions, which includes websites and online assets, print media and marketing collateral development, database marketing management and sales and customer support. In 2012, Walker directed a Sales Support division that produced more than $271 million in loans and contributed to the lender’s first ever $1 billion year. In addition, his initiatives raised awareness for Churchill’s Young Entrepreneur Contest, which was aimed at driving local economic growth and providing employment opportunities to Middle Tennessee.
