BURLINGTON, Mass. (AP) -- Circor International named Scott Buckhout as president and CEO of the valve maker Tuesday.
The 46-year-old Buckhout takes over from Wayne Robbins, who has served as acting president and CEO since December when Bill Higgins left the company.
Robbins will remain executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Buckhout, who will also become a board member, recently served as president of United Technologies Corp.'s fire and security unit.
Circor International Inc., which is based in Burlington, Mass., also makes other products for the energy, industrial and aerospace markets.
