SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) -- Cisco added Marc Benioff, the CEO of Salesforce.com Inc., and Kristina Johnson, the CEO of clean energy company Enduring Hydro LLC, to its board of directors.
The networking equipment maker now has 14 board members, including Carol Bartz, the former Yahoo chief executive.
Benioff, 47, co-founded Salesforce.com in 1999. Johnson, 55, had served as undersecretary of energy at the U.S. Department of Energy.
"Marc has changed the face of technology through his bold ideas around cloud computing and the social enterprise," said Cisco CEO John Chambers in a statement. "Kristina brings us an unmatched expertise in science and technology, which will help guide Cisco as we continue to innovate and transform our customers' experiences."
Shares of Cisco Systems Inc. slid 4 cents in premarket trading to $15.98.
