Citi foresees Cablevision sale

Investor's Business Daily

There is an 80% chance that Cablevision Systems (CVC) will be sold in the next 18 months, according to a Citigroup report. Time Warner Cable (TWC) and Charter Communications (CHTR) are seen as potential buyers but analysts aren't expecting Comcast (CMCSA) to buy the 6th-largest U.S. cable TV system operator. Cablevision has 3.2 mil subscribers in N.Y., N.J., and Conn. The cable company is controlled by the Dolan family. Cablevision shares rose 2.5% to 14.08.
